Madara was previously unknown to me. I’ve now tried four different face masks and two kinds of serum in ampoules and are generally very impressed with their products. It’s great to have a couple of different face masks to combine so that you can use one for pores around your nose, and another one for moisturizing your cheeks for example. After a couple of weeks with Madara, my skin looks much smoother and that winter dullness is long gone.
SOS Moisture + Radiance Hydra Mask
This is my absolute favourite of the bunch. My skin uses every excuse in the book to be dry; temperature differences, travelling, makeup, seasonal changes, computer screens and bad series on Netflix… So this mask has really been a welcomed addition in my skin care routine. With Nordic peony, hyaluronic acid and moisturizing natural sugar, the mask prevents recurring dryness and reduces that unpleasant tight feeling that is typically caused by dry skin.
I´ve used the mask twice a week and let it sit for half an hour before washing it off and putting oil all over my face to really give it a boost of moisture. My skin has felt more supple throughout the day, even when wearing makeup and I have actually received a couple of compliments for a nice glow.
Smart Antipollution Charcoal & Mud Repair Mask
Like other clay masks, this one dries on your skin and makes it difficult to achieve anything other than drinking smoothies through a straw. In other words, it’s perfect for when you want some time to yourself! Unlike other similar masks, it doesn’t tighten uncomfortably, and it doesn’t flake either. The mask is a bit tricky to wash off as it seems to really stick to certain areas, especially around the nose, but afterwards, the skin feels soft and smooth. This treatment can be used 2-3 times per week to prevent early signs of ageing skin, to prevent clogged pores and to give you a nice glow. Leave it on for about 10 minutes before washing it off.
Brightening AHA Peel Mask
I like AHA products and this one is no exception. These acids are good for sun damaged and tired skin. AHA stands for Alpha Hydroxy Acid, which is a collective name for several different acids, of which the most effective are glycolic acid (from sugar cane) and lactic acid.
AHA exfoliates dead skin cells and dirt to contribute to cell regeneration and thus a finer, more even skin. After a treatment, it’s easier for the skin to preserve moisture and receive good impact from other products. Remember that the skin is extra sensitive to the sun after an AHA treatment, so use high sun protection factor, and avoid the treatment completely during the summer if you are sensitive. It is enough to use the mask for a minute or two.
Detox ultra purifying mud mask
Another clay mask that absorbs excess oil in the skin, cleanses the pores deeply and reduces visible irregularities such as acne or minor inflammations. The mask adds moisture and gives you a nice glow after use. I have used it once a week for about 20 minutes for visibly less tired skin. If you are battling acne or enlarged pores, you can do two treatments per week.
I also tested two kinds of ampoules; Antioxidant Energiser and Amino-Fill 3D Lifting. They are sold as 10-packs and you are actually recommended to use one a day for 10 days as a treatment and then 2-3 times per week for best results. I got to try two ampoules of each so I cannot give you my opinions on a full treatment but I have probably still got a relatively good idea of the products. They should be used on clean skin before other skin care products as an extra step in your daily routine.
Amino-Fill 3D Lifting Ampoule
This serum should improve skin elasticity and give a firm result. However, I feel that the skin feels tight rather than firm and supple. It feels much better after I put on additional products (I have used a moisturizing oil in the day and a face mask with collagen in the evening) – but this serum feels less pleasant than the one mentioned below. It also smells strongly of alcohol which is not a favourite early in the morning.
Antioxidant Energiser Ampoules
You cannot be in a rush when using this serum as it takes plenty of time to be absorbed by the skin! It feels like a luxurious facial oil full of moisture and gives a nice glow and feels very comfortable. The skin feels soft and fresh. The ampoule contains antioxidants, vitamins and fatty acids that together neutralize free radical damage, repair sun damage and prevent premature ageing. Each ampoule is a dose, but I experienced that it lasted for two rounds and could thus use half in the morning and a half in the evening for a 24-hour maintenance.
